Prefix epi meaning
“on, over, near, before, after”... This explains my confusion around why an epigraph is at the beginning of something and an epilogue is at the end.
Since I am still in a work-heavy period of time, here is a round up of some of my favorite things right now:
PODCAST: Vibe Check - I will listen to any podcast that Sam Sanders makes, and this one has introduced me to his wonderful friends and co-hosts too. This is a culture and current events podcast made by three queer black men.
SKIN CARE: Restorative facial oil by Good Juju Herbal - not the cheapest item, but I love it (as well as all other products that Judith makes!)
JOURNALS: Volant Journals by Moleskine - Ruled, 5” x 8.5'“ - I love these for my 100 day projects! I wish they had more color options or changed up the colors every once in a while.
INSTAGRAM FOLLOW: Chill Subs - An account for those who are submitting to literary magazines. Their description, “Free database of 3000+ literary magazines & tools to make your writing life less freakin’ exhausting.”
PODCAST #2: Nobody Asked Us with Des and Kara - This running podcast keeps me company on runs as I struggle to get back into running shape.
SHOP: The Flourish Market - a local Raleigh store that supports positive social change through their sales. I had a great time shopping there in person recently. They have clothes, accessories, and gifts.
WORK STRESS RELIEF: Speks magnets - These are very fun to play with but I also mash them in my hand when I’m stressed at work. They can also be found at a local NC toy purveyor: Learning Express.
CALENDAR: Positively Present Daily Calendar - I have been enjoying this all year long!
100-day project progress report: Day 29 of 100
